Much nicer than expected. I travel a lot and this appears like it will hold up wellFits lots and comfortable to carry! This bag is perfect! It holds so much. it has so many pockets! It has Velcro pockets for notions so they will not fall out and get lost in the bottom. it’s a beautiful bag. I bought a different backpack that it also being sold on Amazon around the same price last spring and the strap broke shortly after purchasing. If you are on the fence get this one!!!Love this bag. I take yarn projects every where i like being able to take a bag that doesnt look like a grocery bag. This backpack is simply GORGEOUS! it has so many slots and holders for skeins, the is spacious inside the actual backpack and has so many pockets for all your necessities! 10/10 I will likely purchase another one for friends or even myself to have different colors!!! I love this I cant wait to put my yarn in thereI really am loving this bag. I have a medium sized bag that has been wonderful to grab and go, so I can work on dishcloths, hats, or scarves while out and about. This bag is taking that up a notch.First, I really enjoy the fun pattern, and the bag is soft and comfortable as a backpack, or just as a bag to carry. I tend to treat it like my backpack in high school... one strap over my shoulder, but not both.My plan for this bag was to have it house some larger projects, both for ease of taking it with me, and just in terms of having it around the house. I'm working on a crochet afghan at the moment, which uses Red Heart Super Saver Ombre, and that seemed like the obvious choice of a project to test this with. The main part of the backpack has multiple pockets that are great for yarn. There are two large pockets on the back, two fairly large pockets on the sides (one per side) and two smaller pockets on the front. In the photo, there are two skeins of the Ombre in the two back pockets. The "Scuba" one is nearly a full skein, and it fits reasonably well in the back pockets, and with a little effort, it will fit into the side pockets. It is way too big for the front pockets. This afghan only uses three colors, so I do have pockets enough, even if all three colors are full skeins. The afghan itself will fit into the center part, but that stuffs the bag pretty full.I love that I can zip from either side, and the four grommets are smooth and yarn slides through easily. If I stop in the middle of a color, I can adjust the zipper to be opening close to that grommet. The only thing I don't like about the main compartment is that on the back, near the top, there are three small pockets that close up with velcro. Now, I understand the idea of having good, safe storage for all the little stuff -- stitch markers, tapestry needles, cable needles, stitch holders, row counters, etc. But velcro doesn't play nice with yarn, so having it in this compartment is just asking for trouble. The only thing I can see using these pockets for might be to slip a $5 bill or something in, for emergency use. You can see the velcro pockets just above the teal and purple skeins in both photos. The front pocket is great, with lots and lots of room to safely store needles and hooks and pens. There are two velcro pockets in here, which I am totally fine with, as you aren't likely to get yarn caught up in them. This is where I put all the little doodads mentioned in the previous paragraph. This front pocket also can be zipped from either end, which is handy. On both sides of the backpack, there are deep pockets, which could easily store a large water bottle, a phone, the keys, or any number of things. On the back, there is a large, flat pocket which could store patterns. I'm not using it at the moment, but if I undoubtedly will use it for patterns at some point. All in all, I LOVE this bag, and I can see suggesting it to my kids if they are looking for something to get me for Christmas or my birthday. Its a great yarn bag. You can't really tell from the product pictures but the bag itself has a quilted stitch pattern on it and feels really nice. The shoulder straps extend far enough for it to fit anyone. The side pockets are deep enough to hold a 32oz water bottle almost to the top. There's inner pockets for yarn storage and the holes on the outside you can run yarn through. They work great if you're changing colors often. Theres a large inner space as well. Most importantly though, the front most pocket folds down and has space for needles, hooks, stitch markers, row and stitch counters and any other typical crochet tool you can think of.The fabric is very vibrant & pretty. The zippers work well. There are lotsa of storage compartments & storage within the compartments. Unfortunately the backpack straps are not well designed at all. They're placed to close together at the top & pinch my neck.Nice, but not perfect
